Of the many things to do on a
Friday the 13th, going to the
AFI Silver Theatre to see a screening of an
Alfred Hitchock 1945 film with friends is one hard to beat. I have not seen all of Hitchcock's films and I can say this is not one of my favorites but it does have some very good stuff going on. The
Salvador Dali dream sequence is an effects standout for the time and just creepy. It was great seeing a young
Gregory Peck and
Ingrid Bergman even if their acting was far from riveting and I was hard pressed to see any chemistry. But hey it's a Hitchcock film so it gets a pass in my book and gets checked off as a film I needed to see on the big screen.
