Joss Whedon could not leave well enough alone and has dipped his hands back in to the musical genre with this creative, low-budget, masterpiece. The three acts star Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion and Felicia Day as Dr Horrible (or Billy), Captain Hammer and Penny in a comic-book style love triangle. The songs are great, the sidekicks (or roommates) are pathetic and the laughs just keep coming. But in classic Whedon story telling, nothing comes without great loss and pain.
